"Shining in the Rising Sun" was the theme of AUSTRIA CONNECT JAPAN 2023 on March 30th. With a clear view of the Tokyo skyline, WKÖ Vice President Philipp Gady opened the event with a gratifying overview of Austria's record exports to Japan.
Then Michael Otter, head of ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, and Alf Netek, Project Manager of the Austrian contribution to Expo 2025 in Osaka, presented the Japan strategy at the Road to Expo.
The next day, the trip continued to Osaka, where Vice President Philipp Gady symbolically opened the new Osaka Foreign Trade Office, in the presence of Gudrun Henn, Federal Ministry of Labour and Economy - Department of World Exhibitions.
