As part of EXPO2025 in Osaka, state and city of Salzburg present themselves as a diverse cultural region with a strong international presence. Under the inspiring motto “Designing Voices for Our Lives”, Salzburg will set strong cultural accents during the World Expo.
Following a successful first appearance in May – featuring highlights such as an international choir and tuba project by the University Mozarteum Salzburg, the presentation of the original Mozart violin, and a culinary festival of Alpine cuisine – the focus in September will be on two cultural flagships: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, interpreted by the CAMERATA Salzburg, which is also highly regarded in Japan, as well as the 60th anniversary of “The Sound of Music” and the traditional Salzburg Marionette Theatre.
Together with partners such as Tourismus Salzburg GmbH, the Salzburg Museum, the Grossglockner High Alpine Road, the Hotel Sacher Salzburg, and the Salzburg Heimatwerk, the SalzburgerLand will showcase the cultural depth, creative diversity, and scenic beauty that make this region a globally cherished travel destination.
